Excite Credit Union | April 2025 - Present

  • Managed the organization's Microsoft and Debian/Ubuntu servers.
  • Maintained two separate virtualization sites running VMware ESXi.
  • Executed major version upgrades of legacy ESXi environments to the latest stable release.
  • Performed legacy server migrations from Server 2012R2/2016 to 2022/2025
  • Configured and utilized ESXi automation tools including virtual machine templates, content libraries, and vCenter Update Manager.

Featured Projects

VMware ESXi Modernization

Updated previously neglected ESXi hosts and vCenter appliances to the latest stable build. Implemented automation tools including vCenter Update Manager, virtual machine templates, and content libraries shared between two datacenter sites.

Automated Patch Management

Onboarded new patching software (Action1) to automatically run updates on user endpoints and servers on a recurring basis.

Automated Certificate Renewal

Implemented simple-acme on locally hosted web servers to automatically renew and apply TLS certificates for free via Let's Encrypt.

Windows 11 Endpoint Migration

Took ownership and successfully completed the user endpoint migration to Windows 11 before the October 2025 End-of-Support deadline.
