PC Hardware
Assembling computers has always been one of my favorite hobbies, whether its putting together an entirely new system for myself and my connections or upgrading existing solutions to better fit a desired need. Because of this hobby, I am an expert in consumer PC hardware, with a foundational knowledge of enterprise level gear.
In this page, I have attached some of my previous personal builds to see. The specs for each PC is also listed with any attached images.
These PCs were assembled by myself, with thought placed on each part placed inside.
Exhibit 1:
Specs:
CPU: AMD RYZEN R5 5600X
Cooler: Noctua NH-U12A Chromax
Motherboard: ASUS ROG X570-E
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080
RAM: Corsair Vengence LPX 16GB DDR4-3600MHz
Power Supply: Corsair HX 850 Watt
Storage: Western Digital Blue 2TB M.2 PCI-E Gen.3
Case: Fractal Design Meshify 2
The primary purpose of this PC is for gaming, which led me to make certain decisions regarding parts purchased.
I chose to purchase a mid-range CPU rather than spending additional money for a higher-end part because I generally do not do video editing, rendering, or other CPU intensive tasks. I also chose the RYZEN line of CPUs for its clear and seamless upgrade path if my needs started to require more CPU power.
I decided to use an X570 motherboard due to the availability of additional PCI-E lanes in the event I need additional storage. Using a B550 motherboard would have also sufficed for my needs.
Because I use a high refresh rate & a 1440p monitor as my primary display, I needed a GPU with significant power that would be able to drive high frame rates and resolutions. The RTX 3080 was the best available option for my current needs.
For my RAM, I did not need anything special besides using high speed memory to maximize the efficiency of my RYZEN processor.
I needed high capacity storage because a variety of games are installed, with many of them taking over 50GB of storage.
Size was not a consideration when picking a case, so I chose to get a case with good airflow and had space for expansion in the future. The Fractal Design Meshify 2 satisfied these needs while being aesthetically pleasing.

Exhibit 2:
Specs:
CPU: AMD RYZEN R5 2600X
Cooler: Cooler Master 212 EVO Black Edition
Motherboard: Gigabyte AORUS B450 Elite
GPU: AMD RX 5700XT
RAM: Aegis 16GB DDR4-3000MHz
Power Supply: Corsair RM 650 Watt
Storage: Corsair Force LE 480GB 2.5" SATA SSD
Case: NZXT H510
This older computer was also assembled for gaming but used an AMD GPU as well because I played many games that performed more efficiently on the given platform. This PC now serves as a permanent Minecraft server, with the ability for additional server capabilities (Plex, file server, etc.) with some quick software configurations.
