Friends and Family Program

During my time at Washington State University, I was brought in as a Program Manager Intern for the Friends and Family Program under WSU International Programs.

The Friends and Family Program connects international students with community members nearby to WSU, where they are able to connect and interact during their free time, and gain meaningful connections, often leading to life-long relationships.

I was in charge of restarting the program after it was discontinued due to a lack of structure in its previous iteration and complications from COVID-19.

In this position, I was in charge of creating application materials for prospective members, and training new members upon acceptance. I also worked cross-functionally with different intern teams and departments under WSU's International Programs, with me collaborating with webmasters to curate the program website for our specific needs and purposes.

I also served as the primary spokesperson during general team meetings, posting updates, advocating for my program, and inquiring about cross-functional collaborations with other programs under WSU's International Programs.

I launched a trial run of the program in March, 2023, with a trial group consisting of 16 members to great success. With the knowledge gained from this trial, I intend on launching another cohort of the program with new and returning members in August, when the next school semester begins.
